A Very Long Dry Spell ~ 2019-2022

Flint Hill, Kansas

It’s really hard to believe that it’s been nearly 5 years since I’ve travelled. COVID was a real travel drought. But I think I’m incredibly lucky to have been relatively untouched by disease that ravaged the world. So many people died. Regardless of politics, borders, and walk of life, COVID crossed them all.

During that time my life changed in many ways (job changes, where I’m living, etc) but things seem to have finally settled down again, and I’m looking forward to getting on the road once more. In October of 2021, I visited my cousin in Wichita, KS. This was my first trip since the Rome/Barcelona trip in Oct/Nov of 2018. It’s really has been a very long dry spell. I’m back in Wichita right now (Oct22) and am amazed by the beauty of the area. So I’m dusting off this blog, and covering both trips to Wichita, and some of the really cool things I’ve seen here.

And next Spring, I’m off to Scotland! I’m looking forward to exploring again.
